    I guess I'm the only one who's not happy with this mask. The mask's fit on the face is very comfortable to use, but the high-pressure air outlet makes both me and my wife very uncomfortable.Because there's no filter in front of the air outlet. I've never had this problem before because the mask I used before had a filter in front of the air outlet.

    Many thanks for this education video. To clarify the crucial point of what OSA is; there are multiple episodes of upper airway cessations, and the oxygen saturations therefore decrease by 3% or more. Five or more episodes per hour are required for a diagnosis. The AHI helps determine the severity, with a score >30 indicating severe OSA.

    The damn thing with a autoset tri pack of humidifier, air pipe and p10 pillow mask costs rs 65389(post rental discount) plus 1800 for 6 x air filters for a total cost of rs 67189(the filters need to be changed every two months as per resmed). Further the warranty period is for 2+1. Extended warranty of 2 further years is possible on payment of 14750 per annum. The spares are super expensive so extended warranty is a must. Overall we may have to sell a kidney for purchasing this in india but the rental option, service network and resmed reputation are the positive aspects for us to spend so much instead if seeking a cheaper chinese device which have service issues after the warranty period completion. Most chinese made devices have 2 to 3 years of warranty.

    What is slimeline purpose and why other side of tubing is connected in back side

    • @ResMedAmericas
      @ResMedAmericas 4 дня назад

      The SlimLine tube serves to deliver pressurized air from the CPAP machine to your mask, connecting securely to the Air Outlet located at the back of the machine. This setup allows for efficient air delivery and easier access to the controls and display panel located on the front of the CPAP machine. Thank you for your inquiry.

    • @ResMedAmericas
      @ResMedAmericas 3 дня назад

      I'm not sure what you mean about the chip at the tubing end, but I think you might be referring to the ClimateLineAir. It is a heated tube designed to maintain the temperature of the humidified air as it passes through the tube, reducing the chance of water droplets forming in the tube or what we call "rainout".

      Hi Priya, The Ramp feature on your device is designed to make the beginning of therapy more comfortable. Ramp time is the period during which the therapy pressure increases from a low start pressure to the prescribed treatment pressure. It can be set between 5 and 45 minutes, or can be switched off.

    6/2024 PLEASE HONESTLY address how to swap the nasal cushion from the frame, these pieces do not simply squeeze and pop out. I have to slide a flat edge screwdriver into the gap of the mask, slide it underneath from the opposite direction of this man's example and twist it, it will pop right out. It took me forever to find this info using a screwdriver, nothing on resmed sites anywhere 😔 I found it in comments on a YT video after looking for an hour to see why I can't do this very simple task, has to be a better way. I was able after the initial removal though, much more easily pop it out from the same direction curving my thumb underneath as this strong fingered man, did. But attacking it from the opposite direction with a flat edge is a lot easier and doens't rely on my thumb fitting & its strength so much.

    6/2024 PLEASE HONESTLY address how to swap the nasal cushion, these pieces do not simply squeeze and pop out at least for this 45+ year computer or keyboard using person. I have to slide a flat edge screwdriver into the gap of the mask under the headpiece fitting that has the hose on it and twist it, it will pop right out. It took me forever to find this info, nothing on resmed sites anywhere! I found it in comments on a YT video after looking for an hour to see why I can't do this very simple task of a squeeze, from what Resmed and most other professional videos showed. I cannot remove the nose piece to clean it no matter how hard I pull.

    • @ResMedAmericas
      @ResMedAmericas 6 дней назад

      Since the connection between your tubing and elbow needs to be air-tight to prevent leaks, it can be a little difficult to pull them apart but with a bit of force, they should separate without damaging either the tubing or the elbow. Twisting the elbow as you pull may also help it to come loose. If you continue to have issues prying them apart, your doctor or equipment supplier may be able to assist you further.

    • @cookiebuzz

      If you're referring to the nasal cushion itself, you can remove that by holding the frame by placing your thumb over the side slot (you may need to grip it there) then gently but firmly pulling the cushion away from the frame. If you're still having difficulties in disassembling the mask, it may be best to reach out to your medical equipment supplier who can give you an in person demostration or further assistance with the mask as needed.

      Hi caltroon, The high leak level warning you are experiencing when filling the water tank under minimum could be caused by the humidifier tub not being inserted properly. Please make sure that the humidifier tub is correctly inserted according to the instructions in the device user guide, which you can access using the following link: bit.ly/45Uq8Df If you continue to experience the high leak level warning after ensuring that the humidifier tub is correctly inserted, we recommend contacting the medical equipment supplier where you obtained the device for further direct assistance. The AirFit F30 cushion does not touch the nasal bridge but rests below the nose, helping to prevent discomfort on the top of your nose. Furthermore, the AirFit F30 includes a headgear adjustment strap at the top of the head to improve fit and stability.

    • @ResMedAmericas
      @ResMedAmericas 14 дней назад

      Hi Anna, Thank you for reaching out. You should be fine sleeping on your side or stomach, if that is what you prefer. You can rotate the belt so the device is at your side or back. It just needs to be able to monitor your breathing. This is why we often recommend sleeping on your back, since the best results can be achieved this way. The key components to the test are the cannula sitting under the nose - to ensure that the airway remains unobstructed - and the effort sensor belt around the chest that detects effort to breathe.

      To remove the cushion from the frame, with one hand hold the frame between the straps where it touches the cushion. Then, grasp the cushion with your thumb hooked around the little notch between the straps and gently but firmly pull the cushion away from the frame. The mask is meant to be airtight so this may require a bit of a tug to come apart. Hello Susan, Thank you for reaching out. To connect the oximeter, first attach the oximeter finger sensor to the oximeter. Next, attach the belt clip to the oximeter. Then, connect the oximeter to the oximeter connector on the device by pushing it on. For a visual guide with pictures, you can refer to this link: bit.ly/4ciQJM5 if you have any further questions or concerns, please reach out to the person or organization who provided the ApneaLink and equipment to you.

    This is just a terrible machine altogether. No easy way to use it. Mask very constricting and it's either you can't breathe or there's a leak...and yes. I have tried different sizes and every. Apparently I'm just not smart enough to use this machine.

      Hello joeyg6150, Mask leak can be a common issue for CPAP mask users. As a first step, our blog post offers helpful info about what might be causing your mask leak and ways to address each potential cause: bit.ly/4aTWH4R and your medical equipment supplier are always there to help if these adjustments aren't working if you're interested in either another type of mask or need a more direct in-person fitting of your mask.

      @ResMedAmericas thank you for your response. I read the article. The only area i nay fit is cleaning. I will clean my mask more regularly. However, I can get a good fits/seal when going to bed but awake almost every morning between 3 & 4 and it will not seal again and I remove it. Because while it helps me stay asleep it does nothing to pit me to sleep.

    Hello all, I too found it difficult to remove the cushion from the frame. I was told the following trick which worked like a charm: in the gap you see in the sides, insert a key and push out gently. It just pops right off!

    • @ResMedAmericas
      @ResMedAmericas 25 дней назад

      Hi Steven, Your dad may find the Ramp feature on his AirSense 10 helpful in this case. It's designed to make therapy more comfortable by setting the machine to a lower pressure than what was prescribed and then slowly ramping up to the full prescribed therapy pressure. Using this feature should allow you more time to comfortably fall asleep. As always, we recommend that he discuss this with his doctor before making any changes to his settings. They may also have some suggestions for additional ways he can improve his comfort level and adjust to CPAP therapy without reducing the effectiveness of the therapy itself.

It’s a new mask and I clean it as per instructions to maintain seal. I have an order in to try the F40 hoping for better results but I really wanted this one to work
